Scott's Mission

"I never had one before. (Leigh Anne: "What, a room?") No, a bed."
~Quote from the movie, “The Blind Side”

Beds for the Children

One of Scott's goals is that for every home he sells, he’ll purchase and donate brand new beds and other supplies to families at transitional housing shelters so the children won’t have to sleep on the floor. These  housing shelters assist families in moving toward a better life.

A few years ago, Scott donated beds to Weinberg Village Waimanalo. And although the shelter has closed, Scott is still continuing his mission of children having a bed of their own.

Never before has anyone offered to give us new beds – and it is a constant need. The families have so little and need so much. Having a bed to sleep on is essential to healthy living and is so important to our families who struggle everyday just to get their most basic needs. Thank you so much for taking the time to donate the beds. They were given to two families with young children. They were so excited to use them. You make a difference! Thank you for your generosity. ~Holly Holowach, Director – Weinberg Village Waimanalo – HolomuaNaOhana.org

We can’t thank you enough for the bed. We can now all sleep much better. We just wanted to let you know that you made a true difference. People like yourself never know how you’ve touched our lives and it gives us hope that there are good people in the world that truly care. Thank you, thank you, thank you. ~Resident at Weinberg Village Waimanalo

If Scott can help you or anyone you know with your buying or selling real estate needs, please let him know. He's here to help.

And when the sale is completed, Scott will again purchase brand new beds and supplies for the children.

His goal is to get all the children off of the floor and into a bed of their own.

About Scott

Scott grew up in Kaneohe and was a product of the public school system graduating from Castle High School. After receiving his bachelor of business degree at the University of Hawaii, Scott moved to Japan and lived there for almost 3 years teaching English while also learning the Japanese language. After returning to Hawaii, he worked at a major hotel assisting the Japanese guests and then was a sales manager for the world’s leading luxury retailer that catered to the traveling public.

With his passion for helping people, Scott got licensed in 1999 from Abe Lee’s pre-licensing class. He started off doing the business part-time. But while working with his very first client he felt it wasn’t fair that he couldn’t meet his client when they wanted to because he was working at his “other” job. Realizing that helping buyers and sellers with probably their biggest investment in their lifetime and that it required his utmost attention and effort, he became a full-time real estate agent in 2000.

When Scott isn’t serving his real estate clients, he occasionally takes time enjoying the summer south swell on his bodyboard. More often, you’ll find him at a local gym or hiking up the Koko Head trail. “Staying fit and healthy is part of our island lifestyle,” Scott notes. He’s an avid reader, consuming self-improvement books in particular. And, along with walking “Bettis”, his AKC champion American Staffordshire Terrier, Scott and his wife Debbie enjoy going to the movies. Also from 2008 to the end of 2011, Scott and another agent, Jeff Orig had their own TV talk-show on OC16 called, The Hawaii Real Estate Report.

Experiencing first-hand the highs and lows of the past real estate market cycles, Scott draws on his comprehensive knowledge of Oahu to assemble and present all the information clients need. He sits down with his clients to handle their questions and help them evaluate all aspects of their move suggesting a uniquely tailored approach with specific outcomes in mind. Then he follows through step-by-step, adjusting the plan as necessary and providing regular progress reports.

For Sellers Scott has 3 goals:

1) To get the seller where they need to go on time

2) Make the transaction as smooth as possible and

3) Put the seller in the strongest negotiating position possible.

For Buyers, the goal is to find a home:

1) That best suits their needs

2) In the best location and

3) At the best price.
